Wow. As you all know, the coronavirus situation has really grown. For weeks now, I have been confused by it. All the fear just didn’t make sense when compared to the number of people affected. In the U.S. the number of severe cases is still low.

Then, after speaking to someone who owns hospitals, I finally understood why there’s so much concern. Here’s what I learned:

As you probably know, the virus affects the lungs. For more severe cases, usually in the elderly or people with serious underlying health-conditions, recovery may require a respirator. Unfortunately, there is a limited supply.

The concern is that the number of severe cases will grow beyond what we are able to properly care for. This is what’s driving the quarantines and social distancing.

So let’s take a deep breath! It’s still true that for most people, the virus is mild. You are likely not in any danger.

However, for those people that have a compromised system, the low supply of ventilators could be life-threatening.

The purpose of the quarantines is to slow the spread of the virus so our medical systems can prepare and supply up.

To support these efforts, I will be offering and encouraging virtual Zoom sessions. I do the same work virtually as I do in the office, and I’ve been seeing people virtually for several years.

There’s a lot we can do to support you during this time. When we are stressed, sedentary, possibly alone, and at home 24/7 with our refrigerators, this can be a trying time on our health.

If you have a tendency to gain weight
If you tend towards depression
If you’re feeling anxious
If you aren’t feeling well
Even if you contract the virus, we can help you and get you back on track.

(If you do contact the virus, there are a lot of things in the herbal world that can help you stay well and heal quickly.)

Not only are we here to keep you well, but this can be a time of much-needed rest and healing.

Together let’s prepare you for an even better future, let’s dream of what’s next, and let’s use this time to get you ready for the next phase of this journey.

So, whether you prefer to come into the office or to stay home, I wanted you to know that I’m here to support you. Let’s take advantage of the space these quarantines have created. Let’s use this time to make strawberry lemonade out of lemons.

If you’d like to set up an appointment or Zoom session, you can reply to this email, or you can text or call the office at (310) 319-1122.

I hope you won’t let the coronavirus stall you in your desire for improved health. There’s really no better time than now to be working on it.

With love,
Cari
