You’ve probably heard of someone who has lost a bunch of weight while doing intermittent fasting. So, what could be so bad about it?
Intermittent fasting taxes the adrenal system, and most of us are already dealing with adrenal issues! Especially now, with stress levels being higher than ever.
In fact, when I get lab results from people who are new to intermittent fasting, I see that their cortisol levels are through the roof. This isn’t good, as high cortisol levels can lead to lots of health problems.
Please watch today’s video if you’ve been on this diet, or are considering going on it.
In the video, I explain how intermittent fasting affects the different systems of the body. I talk about who should definitely avoid this diet at all costs (hint: if you get dizzy when standing up, that’s you!) I also share who can do the diet, just in a less extreme form.
From my years of practice, I’ve found that erratic blood sugar is one of the major contributors in most chronic health issues. And intermittent fasting definitely contributes to this.
Keeping your blood sugar balanced is one of the foundations of health, which I explain in my book, “The Food Solution.” The book includes a 21-day diet detox designed to clean up your diet, plus it’s a great way to lose those extra pounds. If you don’t have the book, you can go HERE to grab your copy.
If reading isn’t your preferred way to learn, I also have a new “Food Solution Course,” designed as a compendium to the book, where I walk you through each chapter. It also includes an audio series that talks you through the 21-day diet detox.
Because the course is brand-new, it’s super discounted! It’s normally $195.99, but for you, it’s just $47.95. (Almost $150 off!) You can check it out here.
Remember, if you’re going to do intermittent fasting, do a 10/14: 14 hours between dinner and breakfast, and then a 10-hour window where you eat all your meals. That’s totally fine. I don’t recommend fasting more than that, especially if you’re healing, tired, or stressed.
Stay tuned for my upcoming emails about other popular diets out there right now. I have lots to say about them!
Yours in health,
Dr. Cari
